Studio Blog post - 11.25.25 - Day One

Starting a blog has always been an idea, but it never really seemed like a very good one. Blogs feel outdated these days. In a world of short videos, AI-generated everything, rage bait, and live streams, blogs feel like an ancient concept.

But maybe this is exactly the sort of thing we all need these days — a way to slow down and actually communicate ideas, thoughts, and beliefs.

I’m hoping that I can talk about what’s happening at my lovely little barn studio, and take a moment to speak directly to the people that come across my website. I’ve been doing more lately to show my studio to the world on TikTok, and many of you may have found your way here from some of those videos.

So these posts are for you - the musician, songwriter, artist, producer, engineer, music lover. Let’s find a common ground here and talk about some of my favorite things: songs, instruments, recording equipment, and quiet little barns next to 200 acres of land.

The world is a crazy place these days, and good music and audio can make it a little more pleasant. So here’s to making the best sounding stuff we can, and using it to get a glimpse into each other’s little world.

Songs and writing are the best form of empathy we have, so here’s blog post one. YOLO.

Jon
